I get asked this a lot. Sometimes it’s just straight to the point or it’s a more lengthy:
How do I make sure my child has a healthy image of her sexuality, whatever it is?
or it’s phrased like this:
She is feminine AND masculine. Both together at times. It is confusing when media images try to pigeon hole kids into the binary concept of sexuality!
and again, like this:
There is sexual exploitation in our society of both males and females, what can I do?
These are all questions parents have that a basic biological explanation of reproduction is not going answer. Parents are thoughtful, concerned and trying to figure out conflicting messages daily.
The goal of The Sex-Positive Parent is to create road map for parents so that they know they are doing the best they can to answer the question of how to be a good parent when it comes to sex?
